How to connect Mocxam to Claude

Short answer: In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, click Add custom connector, name it Mocxam and paste https://api.mocxam.com/mcp. Click Connect and sign in with your Mocxam login. Claude Free allows one custom connector; Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise allow more.

Claude can use Mocxam the same way it uses Google Drive or GitHub: through a connector. Once you connect, ask Claude about your students or have it write questions, and it calls Mocxam for the answer instead of guessing.

Before you start

  • A Mocxam admin or faculty login at an institute on Academy Pro or above
  • A Claude account (free or paid) on claude.ai or the Claude desktop app
  • If your Claude workspace is on a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner may need to allow custom connectors

Step by step

  • Open Claude and go to Settings, then Connectors
  • Click Add custom connector
  • Name: Mocxam. Address: https://api.mocxam.com/mcp
  • Click Connect. A Mocxam sign-in page opens
  • Sign in with your Mocxam email and password, or click Allow if you are already signed in on mocxam.com in that browser
  • Review what Claude will be allowed to do and click Allow
  • Back in Claude, start a new chat and ask: "Which Mocxam centre am I connected to?"

Signed up with Google?

If you created your Mocxam account with Google sign-in, first sign in on mocxam.com in the same browser, then click Connect in Claude and choose Allow. There is no separate password to type.

If it does not work

  • "Plan does not include the connector": the institute is on Free Pilot or Starter Pod. Upgrade to Academy Pro or above
  • Claude shows the tools but answers without data: ask it to "use Mocxam" in the prompt
  • You connected before the admin tools were added: disconnect and connect again to get the new permissions
  • Wrong centre: each connection is pinned to the centre of the login you used. Disconnect and sign in with the other login

Disconnecting

Remove the connector in Claude's settings, or click Disconnect in AI Connector on app.mocxam.com. Access stops straight away.
